Windows XP Setup for "Scots" Wireless

*Notes*

• You only need to follow these instructions if your device does not automatically connect to the wireless access point.

• These instructions assume you have a known-good working wireless network connection installed on your laptop.  If you are unsure whether you have wireless, please refer to your documentation or laptop manufacturer for help.

• These instructions also assume you are using the Windows XP or Vista Wireless Connection client.  If you are using a Third party client (Dell, IBM, Toshiba), check with your manufacturer for instructions on setup.  Links to manufacturers websites can be found here

• The Public and Student Wireless Network "SCOTS" uses use the same ResNet security system, Cisco Clean Access as in the Residence Halls.  You will be required to download, install and use Cisco Clean Access on your laptop in order to use the ResNet fully.  You can select to log in as "Guest", but will receive only limited access.
