No. Software piracy is a major issue in
every industry and on every campus. To find out just how serious an issue
it is go to http://www.bsa.org/usa/ and
read about the fines the College could incur if you install pirated software on
your PC.
Computers on the Maryville Colleges network
require a change in the password for each user every 90 days. The new
password you pick cannot be the same as the last 2 passwords you have used on
the system. Please remember, when choosing a new password to keep
Responsible Computing Practices in mind.
This is an intended event for all computers on
Maryville College's FACSTAFF domain. It is the job of ISS to balance both
convenience and security. While you may have to enter your password a few
times a day, it greatly reduces the chances of someone accessing your files
while you are away from the computer.
The Maryville College IT department promotes a pro-active approach to solving computer
problems. If you are having with a Microsoft Office product or Windows,
you can search for support at Microsoft's
Support Site. If you are having problems that do not relate to a
Microsoft product, we suggest using the Google
search engine. If all else fails, please contact the people below for
technical support.
Faculty and Staff members having computer problems should
